Overview
The PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and Practitioner training course provides a comprehensive introduction to combining the governance and structure of PRINCE2 with the flexibility and responsiveness of agile delivery approaches. It is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully manage projects in environments where requirements may evolve and adaptability is essential.
The course covers the core principles, themes, and processes of PRINCE2, while showing how these can be effectively tailored and blended with a wide range of agile concepts, behaviours, and techniques. Participants will learn how to balance project governance with agile delivery methods, ensuring that projects remain aligned to business objectives while still enabling fast, iterative, and customer-focused delivery.
The Foundation level focuses on understanding PRINCE2 and agile terminology, concepts, and the rationale for their integration. The Practitioner level builds on this by emphasising the practical application of PRINCE2 Agile in real-world scenarios, including case studies and scenario-based exercises. Through a mix of lectures, discussions, and interactive workshops, participants will gain the confidence to apply PRINCE2 Agile in their projects and will be thoroughly prepared to sit both certification exams.
Please Note: This training is always delivered in combination with the official certification exams, which are included in the course price and cannot be separated from the training delivery. This ensures that all learners not only gain a solid understanding of PRINCE2 Agile concepts but also leave the course fully prepared to achieve both the Foundation and Practitioner qualifications.

- PRINCE2 principles and how they apply in agile projects.
Day 2
PRINCE2 Themes in Agile Context
- Adapting the Business Case, Organisation, and Quality themes.
- The importance of value and benefits realisation in agile.
- Tailoring risk, change, and progress themes.
- Agile behaviours, mindset, and culture within PRINCE2.
Day 3
Processes & Agile Frameworks
- Tailoring PRINCE2 processes to agile delivery.
- Starting up, directing, initiating, and controlling agile projects.
- Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, Lean Start-up, DevOps.
- Mapping agile concepts to PRINCE2 processes and controls.
Day 4
Practitioner Application
- Agile focus areas: Fix and Flex, Servant Leadership,
- Contracts and Governance.
Product-based planning in an agile context. - Blending iterative and incremental delivery with project controls.
- Sample exam questions and practice case studies.
Day 5
Consolidation & Examination
- Review of key concepts and exam preparation strategies.
- Practitioner-level application through case study workshops.
- Addressing exam-style scenarios and tailoring examples.
- PRINCE2 Agile Foundation Exam (typically Day 5 morning/afternoon).
- PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner Exam taken in own time.
