Practical AI Skills for Everyday Work

Overview

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way people work, but many organisations are still only scratching the surface of what it can do. Too often, employees rely on basic prompts, receive inconsistent results, or avoid using AI altogether because they lack confidence in choosing the right tools and using them safely. This means valuable time is lost, productivity gains are missed, and the risks of poor-quality outputs increase.

This practical, hands-on course equips delegates with the knowledge and skills to use AI effectively in their everyday work. Participants will learn how to select the right AI tools, write high-quality prompts, research and analyse information with confidence, and critically assess AI-generated content before using it. The course also covers the essential principles of responsible AI, including privacy, security, GDPR and organisational governance.

By the end of the day, delegates will leave with practical workflows, reusable prompts and the confidence to apply AI safely and effectively to real workplace tasks. Rather than simply understanding AI, they will be ready to use it to save time, improve the quality of their work and deliver better outcomes.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Choose the right AI tool for the task.
  • Write prompts that deliver better results.
  • Use AI to research and analyse information.
  • Check AI outputs for accuracy and quality.
  • Apply AI safely and responsibly at work.
  • Build practical AI workflows that save time.
