AI is changing finance fast. The question for finance leaders is whether you are shaping that change or allowing it to happen around you.
Across financial planning, analysis, reporting and transactional processes, AI is creating opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen insight and support better decision-making. But rapid adoption also brings significant risks. Poor data, weak controls, inappropriate automation, security concerns and ungoverned AI use can quickly undermine the accuracy, confidence and accountability that finance functions depend on.
For finance leaders, ignoring AI is increasingly a risk in itself. As teams experiment with new tools and AI becomes embedded into everyday workflows, finance needs to understand where it can genuinely add value, where human judgement and control remain essential, and how adoption can support wider organisational priorities.
This practical two-day programme gives finance leaders the knowledge and frameworks to take a more confident and structured approach. Delegates will explore AI applications across finance, examine opportunities in financial planning, analysis and automation, consider the importance of data quality and infrastructure, and assess the strategic value and potential return from AI initiatives.

Qualification
Achieve the CMI Level 7 Award in Strategic Leadership of AI by successfully completing a practical, work-based assessment following the programme. There is no exam; learners complete approximately 4,000 words of assessment, applying their learning to real organisational challenges including AI strategy development, organisational readiness, implementation, monitoring and strategic decision-making.
