Overview
Poor mental health and wellbeing can quickly become a strategic business issue, affecting performance, retention, absence, engagement and organisational resilience.
The CMI Level 7 Strategic Approaches to Mental Health and Wellbeing course equips senior leaders and managers with the knowledge and practical tools to take a more strategic approach to mental health and wellbeing across their organisation.
The course explores contemporary approaches to workplace mental health, wellbeing and resilience, helping you understand how leadership, culture, organisational change and working practices can influence employee experience and organisational performance.
You will examine how to build a compelling business case for mental health and wellbeing, assess current organisational approaches and develop strategies that are aligned with wider business objectives. The course also considers the role of senior leaders in creating psychologically supportive cultures, recognising emerging risks and enabling open, constructive conversations about wellbeing.
Through expert-led sessions, practical exercises, peer discussion and real-world case studies, you will develop approaches that can be applied directly within your own organisation.

Curriculum Director
I have previously completed a level 7 leadership module at a Russell Group University. I felt more knowledgeable of Management and leadership components after completing this course with CMI than I did with the University. I enjoyed the style of learning and the discussion it generated. This method has also helped my critically evaluate leadership methodology.
