Overview
Great managers do more than direct performance. They create the conditions for people to grow, take ownership and perform at their best.
As expectations of managers continue to evolve, coaching and mentoring have become increasingly important leadership capabilities. Managers are expected to support development, build confidence, navigate resistance and help individuals find their own solutions rather than simply provide answers. Without these skills, performance conversations can become overly directive, development can stall and valuable opportunities to strengthen engagement and capability can be missed.
This practical CMI Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring course is designed to help aspiring and practising managers develop the knowledge, confidence and techniques needed to coach and mentor more effectively.
Through expert led workshops, practical exercises, peer discussion and reflective activities, participants will have repeated opportunities to apply techniques, consider their own management style and build confidence in using coaching and mentoring in real workplace situations.
The result is a more confident and supportive manager, better equipped to develop others, strengthen performance and create a culture in which people are encouraged to learn, contribute and grow.
