  • Overview of the PRINCE2® Programme Management framework and its structure.
  • PRINCE2® Programme Management principles and their role in successful transformation.
  • Understanding organisational strategy and programme drivers.
  • Workshop: Identifying programme challenges in real UK public-sector contexts.
Day 2
Governance Themes (Part 1)
  • Organisation: governance structures, roles and responsibilities.
  • Vision: crafting an inspiring and credible programme vision.
  • Design: developing the programme blueprint and target operating model.
  • Benefits: identifying, modelling and planning for measurable benefits.
  • Exercise: Creating a blueprint and benefits profile for a sample organisation.
Day 3
Governance Themes (Part 2)
  • Planning: tranches, dependencies and high-level programme planning.
  • Risk & Issue Management: strategies for complex, multi-project environments.
  • Quality & Assurance: controls that keep the programme on track.
  • Business Case: developing robust justification for investment and change.
  • Foundation examination preparation session.

Transformational Flow & Programme Lifecycle
  • Introduction to the PRINCE2® Programme Management transformational flow
  • Defining a programme and setting up for success
  • Managing tranches, outcomes and transition activities
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication strategies
  • Case study workshop: Applying MSP® across the programme lifecycle
Day 5 (Morning)
Practitioner Preparation & Scenario Application
  • Scenario-based application of PRINCE2® Programme Management principles and themes
  • Tailoring PRINCE2® Programme Management for organisational context, complexity and delivery approach
  • Practitioner-style question practice and exam techniques
  • Final review, consolidation and Q&A
Day 5 (Afternoon)
Optional PRINCE2® Programme Management Foundation Examination

Delegates are encouraged to book their PRINCE2® Programme Management Foundation exam on the afternoon of Day 5.
This is optional and can be scheduled at a later date if preferred.

The PRINCE2® Programme Management Practitioner exam is taken independently at a time of the candidate’s choosing, following the course.

Qualification

Upon successful completion of the assessment, participants will receive PRINCE2® Programme Management certification.
